CRAIG ASHER NYMAN, founder
Craig Asher Nyman is the founder of CAN Media & Entertainment, an entertainment, events, public relations and marketing consultancy, which is a subsidiary of the preeminent restaurant management and consulting company, The Nyman Group LTD. With more than two decades of experience with world-renowned brands, such as Formula 1 and William Grant & Sons, CAN Media & Entertainment handles everything from talent buying and event management to grassroots relationship-building and premier editorial story placement as well as general ideation and concept development. With a hand selected, referral-based client list, CAN Media & Entertainment has been servicing the entertainment and hospitality industry for more than two dozen successful years.
Essentially born in a restaurant, Nyman knew his calling would be the hospitality industry and has since been earning eclectic and valuable experience in public relations, production, management, marketing and grassroots efforts for restaurants, nightclubs, professional sports teams and leagues, theatrical productions, music festivals and more. Before moving to Las Vegas, Nyman gained experience in professional sports marketing, having served as the media and community relations manager for the Arizona Sting of the National Lacrosse League as well as working with the community relations and communications departments with the Phoenix Coyotes and Phoenix Suns.
As a graduate from Arizona State University with a degree in Communication and minor in Recreation & Tourism Management, Nyman followed his dreams all the way to Las Vegas, the leading hospitality Mecca in the United States.
Prior to founding CAN Media & Entertainment, Craig spent more than five years at Las Vegas’ leading public relations firm, Kirvin Doak Communications, handling a variety of clients, including one of the city’s then hottest and most successful nightlife companies, Pure Management Group (PURE Nightclub, LAX Nightclub, Social House, Noir Bar, and Aura Nightclub at Atlantis), which would later become hospitality industry behemoth Hakkasan Group. During his agency tenure, Nyman learned the ropes of executing successful and high-profile PR campaigns and worked with newsmakers such as MGM Resorts International, Cirque du Soleil, Greenspun Media Group, National Clean Energy Summit 2.0 and the X PRIZE Foundation.
The next several years of his career brought Nyman to the role of Head of Music & Live Performances for the launch of startup Life is Beautiful Music & Art Festival, which would quickly be considered one of the best multi-dimensional festivals in the country. With music as his muse and childhood passion, Nyman served as the lead curator and programmer for the music festival for more than 11 years, which launched in 2013 with chart-topping artists such as The Killers, Imagine Dragons, Childish Gambino, Zedd, Beck, Twenty One Pilots and more in its first year. Overseeing 10 years of the festival, Nyman led the charge to deliver robust festival lineups featuring the best of the current state of music as well as the future of music while also bringing many artists to perform in Las Vegas for the first time. In a nod to his former hospitality and lifestyle roles, Nyman also created the platform for Life is Beautiful’s performing arts program, which featured world-class talent from Las Vegas, setting the festival apart from the rest. Some of his more notable projects included a one-of-a-kind collaboration between the Las Vegas Philharmonic Orchestra and The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil, collaborations with Blue Man Group and several renowned performers including Marc Rebillet and BLOND:ISH; pop-culture phenoms including Jabbawockeez and Magic Mike Live; art collective MEOW WOLF; developing a Rising Stars platform for Las Vegas local musicians as well as bringing international artist Notes to Strangers to the festival for his United States debut. His role at the festival also expanded to Director of Music, Live Performance and Development in 2022 and in addition to contributing his expertise to several other departments including sponsorships, merchandise, marketing, and business relations among others. As a founding member of the festival team since the fall of 2012, Nyman has been committed to shining a light on his community in every iteration of the event while staying true to the ethos of the festival to inspire others to live their dreams.
Nyman efforts to bring entertainment to the Las Vegas community continues with several live entertainment companies including providing talent buying for Downtown Las Vegas venues, We All Scream, Discopussy, Park on Fremont and Commonwealth as well as assisting with the live entertainment programming of non-profit venue The Beverly Theater.
In 2024 Nyman was tapped by Formula 1 to lead its entertainment programming initiatives for the Las Vegas Grand Prix. In his role Nyman has been responsible for developing a program to bring exciting world-renowned artists to race weekend and a global audience. The 2024 race featured such artists as Ludacris, OneRepublic, Alesso, Boyz II Men and many more across three stages and multiple Fan Zones.
Throughout his vast experience, Nyman has honed his skills not only in marketing and communications, but also in event conceptualization, talent buying, promotions, ticketing, team management and mentorship, revenue management and merchandising.
With the belief that anything is possible and if you can dream it you can do it, Nyman is all-in on creating moments that become memories while spreading joy and happiness.
